The Explorer Tattoo Conference is truly an extraordinary event that celebrates the art of tattooing. I’ve been fortunate enough to present 3 years. The Attendees are treated to presentations from some of the most talented tattoo artists, who share their knowledge and expertise in an inspiring way. The atmosphere is electric, filled with enthusiastic participants eager to learn and enhance their skills. The passion for the craft is palpable, making it a nurturing environment for both seasoned artists and newcomers alike. Beyond education, the conference fosters connections, allowing attendees to network and forge lasting friendships. Each year, this event strengthens the tattoo community, bringing together individuals who share a deep love for this unique form of expression. Texas Tattoo Educational
I want to extend a huge thanks to Jake Valdez for inviting me to participate in the Texas Tattoo Educational for two consecutive years. The experience was incredibly rewarding, as I had the opportunity to present during the first year and then both host and present the following year. The lineup of presenters was nothing short of amazing, featuring talented artists such as Aaron Spring, Compton, Big Meas, Jonathan Penchoff, Nick Baxter, Joshua Bowers, Tye Harris and many others. Each event not only showcased incredible talent but also fostered a sense of community among tattoo artists and enthusiasts. I also had the opportunity to do a book signing which was fun. I am grateful for the chance to be part of such an inspiring gathering and look forward to future events!
Paradise Tattoo Gathering
Paradise Gathering is a truly unique artistic educational experience, held at a picturesque rural ski resort in Hominy Peak, Massachusetts. This multi-day event offers artists and educators an immersive environment where they can engage in learning, collaboration, and networking. I have had the privilege of teaching at this remarkable gathering for four consecutive years, and each time has deepened my appreciation for the creative community it fosters. The serene surroundings coupled with the rich exchange of ideas make it an inspiring space for personal and professional growth. Looking ahead, I am excited about the future of Paradise Gathering and the opportunities it presents to connect with fellow creatives. Huge thanks to Gabe Ripley, Jake Meeks and everyone it takes to keep running smoothly.
Match Made in Hell
The seminar held at the Hell City Tattoo Convention in both Columbus, Ohio, and Phoenix, Arizona, was an incredible experience. Collaborating with my talented friend and tattoo artist, Russ Abbott, we explored two distinct approaches to illustrative tattooing. Attendees were not only treated to valuable insights but also had the chance to win impressive prizes, thanks to our generous sponsors, True Tubes, Eternal Ink, and FK Irons. Among the giveaways was a book of body templates that I created for the seminar, along with the Abbott Color Wheel, a unique color-mapping tool designed by Russ in partnership with Eternal Ink. Additionally, we unveiled an educational DVD featuring a collaborative tattoo project that highlighted our combined expertise. This event fostered creativity and a sense of community among tattoo artists, making it a memorable experience for all involved. Huge thanks to Durb Morrison the owner/promoter of Hell City Tattoo Conventionfor giving us the local to create such an great event.
for the love of teaching
Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to guide others on their creative journeys. I've conducted one-on-one lessons and engaged with children in art during latchkey programs. One of my favorite initiatives was a class called "Saturday Morning Cartoons" at my gallery, where I taught kids how to draw their beloved cartoon characters. Additionally, I've had the pleasure of working with apprentices and seasoned artists alike, helping them explore their artistic boundaries and push their limits. Each experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I eagerly look forward to hosting more educational events in the future, continuing to inspire and nurture creativity in others
